Watching time
Time froze,
father time existed but refused to make the seconds tick forward.
Each moment kept unticking away:
6:05 and six seconds. 6:05 and five seconds,
four, three, two, and one second.
Time went by fast, true, but that was only because time slowed down faster.
6:07pm. The old time fart let the minutes move forward.
6:08 now.
If time was moving forward how can it still untick away?
6:08. 6:08 and twenty seconds.
6:07.
6:09!
Tick. Untick. Tick. Untick. Tick.
6:11 pm. Can I sleep now?
6:11 and fifty-one seconds.
6:00pm.
I don’t think we’re back to the beginning of class.
6:13. Since when did writing become this hard?
How can my motivation untick like the time?
I hope the teacher doesn’t notice.
6:12pm. 6:12 and two seconds. 6: 11 and 55 seconds.
Let time freeze. Let it stop completely. At least let time stop unticking.
Untick. Untick. Untick.
Tick.
6: 16. 6:61. 6:16. What is time anyway?
Is there really only sixty minutes in an hour? Maybe its only fifty-five or seventy.
6:03? I gained thirteen minutes? So unticking time is really a thing.
This could be the weed talking, it is 4/20. Oh, wait,
I don’t smoke.
6:20pm. Five minutes left.
Time ticked forward?
Tick. Tick. Tick.
Untick.
